MIAMI, FL. December 5, 2025.- Every year on December 5th, the world celebrates International Volunteer Day, honoring those who dedicate their time and resources to the well-being of communities most in need. In this spirit, Liberty Networks, a leading provider of enterprise connectivity and digital infrastructure solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean and part of Liberty Latin America (LLA), celebrates its more than 100 volunteers who enthusiastically participated in the seventh edition of Mission Week, the company’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. In 2025, Liberty Networks volunteers joined educational and recreational activities across the five countries where the company operates, bringing joy to 373 children and adolescents and 26 teachers.
Inspired by its purpose to connect communities and change lives, Mission Week is based on four pillars: Learning, Environment, Access, and Disaster Relief. This year, the volunteer initiatives focused on the Learning pillar, with a strong emphasis on developing soft skills and advanced digital literacy through educational games. Foundations and community organizations in Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic benefited from this year’s program.
For Liberty Networks, taking part in Mission Week is essential: it helps close the digital divide by empowering communities with the knowledge and skills shaping the global landscape, from cybersecurity and the responsible use of artificial intelligence to interpersonal and emotional skills.
Sustainable Community Impact
This year’s Mission Week focused on initiatives that deliver long-term, measurable impact across the region. Each country’s activities were conducted in partnership with local non-profit organizations dedicated to education, social inclusion, and community development:
-
Colombia: 133 students and 15 teachers from Liceo Psicopedagógico San Agustín in Sibaté, Fundación Casa Mamá Margarita, in Medellín, and Fundación Manos in Barranquilla took part in “Life Project” and “Tower Game” sessions focused on teamwork, leadership, and personal development.
-
El Salvador: 15 children and five Liberty Networks volunteers from Aldeas Infantiles SOS participated in dynamic activities to strengthen communication and self-confidence.
-
Guatemala: 140 children from ONG Niños de Guatemala attended workshops on fiber optic technology, learning about its uses, advantages, and data privacy considerations.
-
Honduras: A group of 50 women and children from the Mujeres de Esperanza en Cristo Association in San Pedro Sula and the Brigadas de Amor Cristiano / Hogar de Niños Renacer Association in Tegucigalpa participated in a motivational talk, interactive activities, and a workshop on the use of digital tools for online sales. The initiative also included the donation of on-site connectivity services.
-
Dominican Republic: 45 children and six teachers from Aldeas Infantiles SOS participated in motivational talks and interactive learning activities such as the “Tower Game.”
Liberty Networks' commitment to the region's development is reaffirmed by its clear vision: corporate success today is measured by the social impact generated. This is why Liberty Networks continues working on Connecting Communities and Changing Lives.
